Four Steps to Safely Using Your Centrifuge

1. Correct installation of centrifuge

(1) Power supply voltage: The voltage range must meet the national standard, otherwise the centrifuges of some manufacturers will not work normally. If the voltage amplitude exceeds, it is recommended to use a voltage stabilizer to meet the grid voltage.

(2) The ground wire should be firm: the wiring of the power supply in the room should meet the requirements. Three-phase is the three-phase in industrial power. When using three-phase power, the neutral wire is separated from the ground wire. More importantly, whether it is three-phase industrial power or general single-phase power, the ground wire should be reliable to avoid leakage, the ground wire cannot be connected to the heating pipe and the water pipe.

(3) The ground should be flat and firm: For large centrifuges, the floor at the installation site should be firm to ensure that the rotor of the centrifuge works normally and does not sink in, and the ground where the installation is fixed should be flat and firm.

(4) Find the level: Find a more accurate small spirit level, open the centrifuge cover, find the level on the main shaft, and find the level by adjusting the screwing of the adjusting bolts around the 4 casters. Be careful not to let the casters fall in the meantime. .

2. The centrifuge is loaded to find the balance

During the planning and production of the centrifuge, the unbalance caused by the machining error of the rotor has been remedied by the dynamic balance test, but all centrifuges have their allowable unbalanced amount of loading. In order to compete with other manufacturers in the index of the maximum unbalance limit allowed by centrifuges, centrifuge manufacturers try to give larger values. At this larger value, the centrifuge can work, but the unbalanced force that occurs at this time suddenly impacts the bearing and the bracket at a frequency of n times per minute, and the centrifuge is damaged. Therefore, for those expensive centrifuges, users should try their best to find the balance and then centrifuge, which is good for the life of the centrifuge.

3. Sort out the water in the centrifuge chamber

Refrigeration is used when the centrifuge is working, because the moisture in the air forms frost in the centrifugal chamber, and the frost turns into water after shutdown. Most low-speed large-capacity centrifuges do not have drain holes, and the water in the centrifuge chamber accumulates more and more. At this time, the user should remove the rotor by himself and clean up the accumulated water. When reinstalling the rotor, be sure to install it properly.

4. The centrifuge aluminum alloy can not be corroded

Centrifuge rotors are generally made of aluminum alloys. When corroded, the strength decreases, which is prone to problems. Aluminum alloys are easily corroded by liquids. After cleaning, use a hair dryer to dry them, or turn them upside down for a period of time to confirm that they are dry before use. In some blood bank centrifuges, there should be 6 plastic trays in 6 aluminum cups. A bloodletting bag should be placed in the plastic tray, and avoid placing it directly in the aluminum cup. Note that the test tube has no cracks. If the test tube (especially the reusable test tube) has cracks, it must not be used, otherwise the test tube will break during operation, which will cause the rotor to lose its balance during rotation.
